The French Army had constant problems with sufficient radio communications in tank units. Therefore, various improvised communication vehicles were also created. One of them, which probably ended up only in prototype, was a liaison vehicle on the platform of an artillery tractor Lorraine 37L. A frame antenna used from a Renault ADH radio truck was mounted on the original supply vehicle to receive and transmit the ER 27 radio set. The prototype was captured by advancing German troops in 1940. A similar emergency conversion was also made on a UNIC P 107 half-track artillery tractor.
As it is only an improvisation, the machine probably has no official name.

This mysterious vehicle, however, may also be a German conversion that may have been made after the signing of the Armistice, according to Francois Vaivillier. Its origin is therefore unclear. That it could be a German conversion is suggested by photos shared with a captured French Renault 35 tank, which already has a German matriculation painted on it. The absence of armament of German soldiers could indicate that this is a training run that got out of control.
