A documentary about the life and fate of an important person in Slovak history, about a person whose work provided economic and financial support for the Slovak National Uprising. We are talking about Imrich Karvaš - the first governor of the National Bank of Slovakia.

Roman Catholic priest, Czechoslovak and Slovak politician, member of Hlinka's Slovak People's Party, Minister of Czechoslovak Governments and Prime Minister of the Autonomous Governments of Slovakia and the Government of the Slovak Republic. In the years 1939–1945 the President of the Slovak Republic. After the war, he was sentenced to death by the Czechoslovak National Court for treason and executed.

Tomas Bata

Czechoslovak entrepreneur, "King of Shoes" - creator of the world shoe empire, mayor of Zlín (1923-1932) and public figure. Together with his brother Antonín Jr. and sister Anna, he founded the shoe company Bata in Zlín in 1894 and gradually built it into a vast complex of production, trade, transport, services and finance, and was one of the greatest entrepreneurs of his time. He introduced original methods of production and trade management and also a system of motivation of workers (Bata's management system), and managed to influence many future economists. His methods were revolutionary for business at the time and are still used as examples of top management. He influenced the level of business in Czechoslovakia with the range of his activities (35 branches of production, trade, transport, services and finance), and he influenced the profile of the consumer industry with the low prices of his shoes.
