World War II in the Pacific from the perspective of the concept of total war

This analytical study focuses on the concept of total war, and we will try to answer the question of whether the clash between the USA and Japan in the Pacific during World War II can be described as a total war. At the outset, it is necessary to define the field of research. Although several fighting nations have met in the Pacific, we will focus specifically on the United States and Japan and their struggles in the Pacific. The author deliberately chose these two countries because they fought a substantial part of the fighting that took place in the Far East, in addition to the Pacific, in continental Asia. The aim of the author is that the result of this work contributes to the knowledge of the Second World War in the Far East. The reduction of the research field leaves open space for possible similarly focused research, which would supplement the results to which we will work in this work.
