Military repair plant 025 Nový Jičín, s. p.

The company was founded in 1946. Initially he carried out repair of small arms and various types of trucks. Gradually the enterprise performed repair of all types of tanks, which used the czechoslovak people's army .

The enterprise is largely involved in repairing (or upgrading) tanks types of T-34, T-54A, T-54M, T-54AM1, T-54AM2, T-55, T-55A, T-55AM1, T-55AM2. Since 1983 they have been repaired tanks series T-72 (T-72, T-72M and T-72M1).

The state enterprise Military repair plant 025 Nový Jičín, s. p. was founded in 1989. He was commissioned there repair of tank technology of all modifications, of the total repairs to their main groups, subgroups and marketing renovations. VOP 025 was doing medium repairs and overhauls of tanks, revision, accident repairs and service of the security service of the czechoslovak and Czech tank technology, reconstruction and modernization of tanks, repair of groups, subgroups and restoration parts. Further proofing the repair of stationary engines on the basis of tank parts for energy. Parts of their production capacity-fashioned classroom training aids and equipment for the workshop activities mainly on tank equipment. On the basis of the vienna disarmament negotiations the company was during the years 1992 to 1995, entrusted with the disposal of approximately 1300 tanks T-54 and T-55 discarded from the weaponry of the czechoslovak and Czech army.

Due to a significant decline in production and repairs for the ARMY after 1992, the business expanded manufacturing and repair for the civil sector, and especially in the area of production and cooperation in machinery production for foreign partners from Germany and Great Britain.

On the basis of the rich experience of modernization of tanks T-54, T-55 and repair of the machines T-72 was a VOP 025 in 1995 selected by the Ministry of defence of the Czech republic as the main researcher, coordinator and implementer of the project modernization of the T-72M4. In its history the enterprise repaired, or upgraded to 4600 tanks.

In 1997, the firm started the repair, modernization and remodeling of cars Tatra and other vehicles used in the Army of the CZECH republic. Subsequently implemented the development and production of tank and workshop vehicles on chassis T815-2 ARMAX and T815-2 TERRN°1. In 2004 there was a merger of the company with GTC 012 Bludovice. In October 2005, the company had 992 employees.

In the framework of the contract for the supply of wheeled infantry fighting vehicles KBVP Pandur II CZ for the Czech army was responsible VOP 025 Nový Jičín, s. p. in the following main areas:
- production of all the basic vehicles for each of the variants except for the first 17 wheeled infantry fighting vehicles (KBVP), which were made in the company Steyr for the participation of a selected number of workers VOP 025
- production of complete vehicles developed by the company Steyr - variants of the KBVP and KOT-Zdr,
- own the development and subsequent production of complete vehicles - variants of the KBV-VR and KOT-Ž
- share the development and subsequent production of complete vehicles - variants of the KBV-PZ and KBV-PZLOK
- modernization of the basic design to the standard KBVP M1
- the processing of operational and accompanying documentation and technical conditions for the variants developed by Steyr and VOP 025
- processing the catalog of spare parts and ensure the cataloging for the vehicle - variants developed in the VOP 025 and firm Steyr

In November 2011, was a VOP 025 merged with VOP-026 Šternberk, s. p. as a workplace Šenov at nový Jičín.
