Diskuse

In this case, I'm a bit on the fence about what the shot actually is. Wikipedia referring to the publication: Gordon, Yefim: Soviet/Russian Aircraft Weapons Since World War Two. Hinckley, England: Midland Publishing 2004, ISBN 1-85780-188-1 indicates that the AA-4 Awl/K-9 was developed in the late 1950s by the Raduga design bureau for use on the Je-152 aircraft under development, and its intended armament designation was to be the R-38.

In the tables at militaryparitet.com (now only in the Internet Archive) for the K-9 missile, there is information that the first K-9 (aka K-9-51) was developed at OKB-51 starting in April 1958, intended for prototype fighter aircraft Suchoj P-1 and Suchoj T-37. Development was discontinued in 1960. Subsequently, development of the K-9 (K-9-134, K-9-155) missile with the index Izdeliye 90 continued at Design Bureau No. 1 and OKB No. 134 to arm the prototype Mikojan-Gurevich Je-152. The table shows the planned designation of this version as R-9, indicating that a total of 3 were completed in 1961. Several dozen test and measurement missiles were produced as part of the development, I have included descriptions and numbers in the notes in the table above.
