- 39. Middlesex Rifle Volunteer Corps (39th Middlesex Rifle Volunteer Corps) - Clerkenwell, formed 6 March 1860 originally as the Clerkenwell Rifle Corps (Clerkenwell Rifle Corps)and later re-designated
- 40. Middlesex Rifle Volunteer Corps (40th Middlesex Rifle Volunteer Corps) - Gray's Inn, formed 30.4.1860, became independent 20.04.1861
