Ito, Takeo was born in Fukuoka prefecture.

Počiatkom vypuknutia the second Sino-Japanese war in command of 228. pešiemu regiment and subsequently from 1.9.1941 114. pešiehmu regiment.

25.8.1941 sa becomes the general major and gets under your velenie a group of pechoty 38. divízie, that is primárnou divíziou to vykonaniu invázie to Hong Kong.

Počiatkom 1942, he zverené velenie nad independent Ito detašmánom Itō, who pozostával of 228. pešieho regiment, 38. divízie and 1. Kure SNLF (Special Naval Landing Forces), ktorý sa participated in the battle of Ambon in the Dutch východných Indiách and an okupácii Timor.

During všetkých his campaigns sa marked extrémnou brutality and masakrovaním zajatcov and obytvatelstva.

In novembri 1942 is Itō, along with one plukom 38. divízie vysdlaný to Guadalcanal. The sa participates in operácii and bitiev of Mount Austen, the Galloping Horse, and Sea Horse.

Along with preživšími príslušníkmi his unit was evacuated during the first týždňa februára 1943 the Japanese námorníctvom.

Itō 8.7.1944 gets under my velenie 40. nezávislú zmiešanú brigade, who sa nachádza v Novom Írsku. 26.11.1944 sa becomes general poručíkom.

Koncom war is captured by Australian troops and is súdený ako vojnový felon vojnovým tribunálom pre death Čínskych civilov.

24.5.1946 bol odsúdený tribunálom in Rabaul, New Britain to death. Nevertheless bol 28.10. prepustený and repatriovaný to Japan, where 24.2.1965 umiera.
