Stalagmit/Sopel
The system is designed to destroy low-flying targets that move at a speed of 400 m/s to a distance - missiles from 0.5 to 5.2 km, cannons from 0.2 to 2.5 km. Shooting can also be conducted against lightly armored ground targets.
The STALAGMIT system was constructed on the OPAL II crawler chassis, which is a modified and modernized chassis OPAL I by Ośrodku Badawczo-Rozwojowy Maszyn Ziemnych i Transportowych in Stalowa Wola. SWT 11/307/2 engine with an output of 320kW. The SOPEL system uses a shorter and lighter chassis Opal-I.
The crew consists of a mechanic - driver, commander, shooter.
The tower is armed with 2 PLK caliber 23mm cooled by liquid and controlled by an electric trigger. Two launchers for 4 control systems GROM installed on the sides of the tower. Smoke grenade launchers are also mounted on the tower. The supply of ammunition for cannons is located in two magazines at the rear of the tower.
Fire control system ELOP (Israel) - TV camera, thermal imaging camera, laser rangefinder and device recognizing own - foreign target (IFF). Destination search distance is 10,000 m, recognition 5 km. In addition, it has a PO10M observation system and an optical sight 1 PZ-3.
