Brief history:[/heading]

In 1942 it was already OKB-155 and at the same time, also the entire production plant, in which produced planes Mikojana and Gureviče, so everything was moved from Moscow to Kujbyševa.
At that time, could the design team come back to an abandoned project DIS-200T. The project was postponed shortly after the ambush of the Soviet union, because the air force needed to be primarily a frontline fighter jets, strategic bombers and thus also the accompanying fighters needed were not. In 1941 was started the production of Švecovova čtrnáctiválce M-82 and vice versa has been stopped production Mikulinových engines AM-35A and AM-37. Designers executives And. Also. Mikojanem had to, if they wanted to project the DIS to continue to confuse the power unit just for the stream AL-82F and at the same time the determination of the aeroplane fit for prosecution, the bombing of and battle tasks. Armament was therefore more massive. The new aircraft was factory designated as the Izdeliye IT, for the state examination was marked as the DIS-200IT. The tests passed successfully and was recommended for production. The state commission, however, did not recommend, because the same tasks already performed by the front-line aircraft Pe-2 and it was unnecessary to increase the number of manufactured aircraft types. For the eventual production was reserved label MiG-5.
