In the case of WOO 6816 was about 21. guard battalion, subject to the KVS Kosice. The department has created a 1.7.1966 on the basis of the original 2. company 1. separate battalion of the Internal guard (WOO 7540). In October 1992, there has been renumbering of the unit to 37. guard battalion, and the first day of the following year became part of the ASR.
