In the year 1798, from dôvodu vojnových events vo Francúzsku bolo decided to increase a large state of the army, and about another investíciách to pevnosných objektov. Stávajúce units of the Corps delostrelcov and ženistov boli začlenené to novovytvoreného 1. the regiment delostrelcov and ženistov and súčasne bol produced 2. the regiment delostrelcov and ženistov, tvorený novovytvorenými 3 prápormi, each with piatimi companies (in the year 1799 was created 4. colors). For veliteľa regiment bol vymenovaný former veliteľ delostrelectva and veliteľ 2. pešieho regiment (vo výslužbe marc 1791) John Doughty.

In the framework of the novovytvorených jednotiek nebola built in such a way not one delostrelecká unit. In the year 1801 was decided on redukcii regular army and there was a zrušeniu regiment.
