Due to the fact that the cartridges were not produced elsewhere than in Czechoslovakia, identification is also possible according to the day markings. All bullets vz. 22 have a bottom divided into 4 segments. At twelve o'clock the manufacturer (either SB or Z) is at ninth and third hour a year and at six o'clock the month of production. The above-mentioned perimeter cross-section can be clearly seen in the photo. 9mm Browning short rounds manufactured in Czechoslovakia, have the abbreviation "9Br k" in the signature, or the war code "dou". On the right is a 9mm Luger cartridge, photo by the author.
