The prototype was successfully tested in August 1997, the means of the concept is based on the American self-propelled howitzer M109. Raad-2 is armed with a 155 mm cannon howitzer with automatic charging. The range of a howitzer with conventional ammunition is about 30,000 m.
The means on the paved road reaches a maximum speed of 70 km/h.
The howitzer is located on a modified chassis BVP Boragh
