Rifle battalion – Battalion strzelców – Rifle Battalion[/heading]

Troop a body of infantry intended to strengthen the firepower in the framework of the cavalry brigade. In peace time there were only 3 separate missile battalions (1.-3.) and other 9 (4.-11.) should arise in the course of mobilization, however, in August 1939 r. was 10. rifle battalion from mobilization table 3. rifle battalion crossed off the list and instead of him was going mobile II. the banner 94. infantry regiment for the 39. backup infantry division. Their advantage was quite considerable fighting force, which allowed to successfully defend the selected directions, to bind enemy forces and at the same time, releasing riding eskadrony from the necessity of the leadership of the infantry fight. The trouble was considerably slower speed of moving from the speed of the movement of the cavalry. In fact, most rifle battalions in the assemblies of cavalry brigades was not and was made available to the commanders of tactical bundles of infantry.

the Assembly of the battalion:


Hq (Dowództwo) – commander, command swarm (aide, ordonanční and information officer, observer, typist)
3 rifle company (company strzeleców) – in each command swarm 3 platoons of three cooperatives, the cooperative grenade launchers, economic team
machine-Gun company (kompania ckm) – 3 platoon of heavy machine guns on the cars, 1 platoon on tačankách, 1 mortar platoon, of the economic team
Junction platoon (pluton łączności) – (4-5 telephone patrols, 1 radiotelegraph watch)
Reconnaissance platoon (pluton zwiadowczy) – cycling team (including kulometného swarms), 2 (?) riding the swarm, riding machine gun the swarm
Zákopnická platoon (pluton pionierów) – 2 zákopnická cooperative
anti-Tank platoon (pluton przeciwpancerny) – 2 anti-tank guns
Economic platoon (pluton gospodarczy) – the accounting officer, the weapons officer, a quartermaster, a doctor, the economic cooperative, ammunition and quartermaster tělesový train

Battalions no. 1-3 should have the anti-tank platoon with four 37 mm anti-tank cannon Bofors wz. 36. 1. the battalion had after the mobilization, in fact, 6 cannon, 2. battalion 3 canons and 3. battalion 2 canons.
In the assembly of some of the battalions is shown only one zákopnické team.

Anti-tank rifle wz. 35 have been due to the strict confidentiality in tabular conditions listed. In the mobilisation of each rifle platoon may receive 1 anti-tank rifle, i.e. in the battalion there should be 9 pieces.

The 103rd rifle battalion – marching rot 1., 2. and 3. the shooting of the battalion mobilised 3. a rifle battalion in 5. and 6. the bottom of the general mobilization.
Replacement rifle battalion "Rembertów" in the Replacement centre střeleců (Ośrodek Zapasowy Strzelców) of the excess people and equipment after the formation 103. battalion.
