18.01.1957 ordered the construction of the submarine
25.10.1972 vessel, the USS Snook was slightly damaged when it hit the bottom in the bay Dabob bay Puget Sound, WA , there Were no reported serious damage
23.04.1974 a sub is hooked up to the network, probably a soviet fishing trawler while she was sailing at a depth of 45 metres near the coast of California. The USS Snook was almost immediately literally pulled to periscope depth the stern of the trawler. After liberation they cleared the area, where at that time there were about 25 soviet fishing vessels
14.11.1986 stricken from the list of vessels of the U.S. Navy
01.10.1996 in the framework of the program of recycling of nuclear-powered ships was initiated scrapping of the submarine USS Spadefish in the device Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA , that was completed about nine months later
