GLOCK 19X based on the model of the GLOCK 19 MHS, which the company Glock has developed for participation in the tender for the supply of new handguns for the american land army and the air force (XM17 Modular Handgun System competition) as a replacement for model M9 (Beretta 92 FS). In the competition finally succeeded SIG Sauer P320.
The Model is marked with the letter X as a "Crossover" – a combination of the frame of the G17 and the G19.
From the military version differs only by the absence of two-sided manual fuse box on the frame.
Glock 19X has all the elements of Gen 5, i.e. the barrel with a new bore, double-sided control detection of the conclusion, redesigned trigger mechanism, 2.25 kg web of the trigger, else the firing pin and fuse a blocking firing pin, etc.
At the same time, but it has a different shape of the stack shaft. The frame has a recess on the fingers (as well as Gen 5) but lacking an opening in the front for extended boot tray.
The shaft is also not at the bottom of extended as in standard models of Gen 5. Instead, the frame is dragged down because of the shooting in tactical gloves.
The frame also has a detachable eyelet on premium cable (lanyard).
