I Led 383. fighter group, when we spotted more than 25 enemy aircraft at an altitude of about 8,000 feet below us. Dropping his attack, the enemy aircraft split up, leaving us to choose targets. Me and my number, we went for the two Fw 190tkama. After a brief chase, I was able to send close-up of a short burst with a 90° hanging. The enemy aircraft exploded in the air (1). My number got another and then lost me. (according to the statements of lt. Sandkrauta and Schroeder). After turning to the southwest, I saw three jerries flying to the northeast. I got them and found out that this is a Fw 190tky. After rotating the duel, approximately 15 miles southwest of Bonn, I was able a few times to hit the third aircraft. He went into a tailspin at 800 feet (2). The commander sharply turned right and I saw him under my nose in turn with 5 G. I Did 3 radii hanging under my nose, fired and felt the explosion. I kicked the rudder, he rolled over and saw only pieces of 190tky (3). His number had to rewind to the left, because in the area there was no plane. Was a fire in the woods above the place where he reversed a third plane at a height of 800 feet.
When returning to the west, during the climb in an effort to connect with the seven P-51 at 5 000 feet above me. Me two Me 109tky crossed the road under and in front of me. Flew down on them from the sun and fired a few bursts at a great distance. They separated and I followed the commander. From a distance of 800 yards here fired dose and saw a few hits on the hull began to lose coolant. 109tka went into a slight descent and followed her, until she to the country. (4)
My number me lost after the first encounter. I was heading south and then west, itself at an altitude of 4 000 feet. Saw here twenty enemy aircraft flying in the country in two waves of ten. When you are turning your back to the sun and turned north, I fell on them and attacked. When you zoom in on the renegade, I noticed that I watched the other twenty enemy aircraft, also flying in two rows of ten. Continued here in the approximation for odpladlíka and opened fire from 800 yards. I Burned a couple of short doses of interventions on the hull. With the decision to approach, I continued to fire, but before I got too close, the enemy plane exploded. (report, lt. Rogers) (5)
During this meeting, ten or twelve modronosých P-51ček the last two waves of enemy aircraft, which were behind my tail. How P-51čky fell behind me, so I turned left and joined one of the four that haunted 2 Me 109tky. The commander of the foursome downed the last enemy plane, and I attacked it the second. From 400 yards here, opened fire, saw the hits, and 109 began to drain the coolant and went into a slight turn to the right. One of the modronosích P-51ček him fired and the enemy aircraft went to the ground from 1,000 feet. (6)
