Anotace:
Anotation:
The book Broken Wings of Czechoslovakia provides the most comprehensive overview of the Czechoslovak Air Force catastrophes that occurred both in its own territory and abroad, from the end of World War II until 1965. It also includes catastrophes of foreign military aircraft in Czechoslovakia in the same period. The text is accompanied by over four hundred photographs, most of which are published for the first time. The aim of the authors is not to judge or defend anyone, but to remind military pilots and other people who lost their lives in plane crashes.
Recenze:
Review:
Kniha nadväzuje na prvý diel Katastrofy československého vojenského letectva 1918-1990 (díl první, 1918-1939).

Prakticky jedinou chybou je používanie dobovo nesprávnych tvarov jednotiek u udalostí pred 01.01.1951 (napr. 1. letecký pluk namiesto správneho Letecký pluk 1).

Na knihu následne nadväzuje kniha Katastrofy československých vojenských letadel v letech 1966-1990, 3. díl.
The book follows the first part of the Disaster of the Czechoslovak Air Force 1918-1990 (part one, 1918-1939).

Practically the only mistake is the use of incorrectly shaped unit shapes for events before 01.01.1951 (eg 1st Air Regiment instead of the correct Air Regiment 1).

The book is followed by the book Disasters of Czechoslovak Military Aircraft in 1966-1990, Part 3.
