Stettin-Altdamm/Szczecin-Dąbie Airport


The airport was inaugurated on June 19, 1927. It was established as a civil airport and from there the transport companies flew mainly to Berlin and Gdańsk. Seaplanes could also land on the neighboring lake. In 1935, the first units of the newly created Luftwaffe were deployed here.
During World War II, mostly training units were stationed here, but occasionally combat units were also stationed here.
After the war, it was handed over to the Polish civilian administration and still serves as a civilian airport for sport flying.
