Primoco UAV One 150




The Primoco UAV One 150 is a high-flying aircraft with a wingspan of almost 5 meters and a maximum takeoff weight of 150 kg. The chosen weight limitation was chosen in view of the requirement to categorize the aircraft in military operations subject to NATO STANAG 4703 and in a civil environment as representative of a specific category (EASA). In practice, this requirement ensures a high degree of adaptability to the individual conditions of each customer and its aviation authority with the possibility of changes. Primoco UAV One 150 offers a payload capacity of up to 30 kg.


The aircraft is equipped with an advanced autopilot that provides control of the aircraft during day, night and in difficult weather conditions. Thanks to the autopilot and integrated radio altimeter, the machine offers fully automatic take-off and landing. The navigation system is oversized in terms of safety and in addition to the primary GPS/Glonass/Galileo navigation, it is equipped with an inertial navigation system to continue flight after failure of the primary navigation or in an environment of congestion. A datalink for signal transmission between the aircraft and the ground control station provides transmission of control telemetry over a distance of up to 200 km and also provides online transmission of data from the carried sensors. The payload can be installed in the aircraft in several positions, such as in the nose, mid-fuselage or side stations. The endurance of the aircraft is 15 hours at a cruising speed of 120 km/h.


Primoco UAV has developed its own internal combustion engine, the Primoco Engine 340, for the Primoco UAV One 15. It is an air-cooled, four-stroke, 340 cc, 25 hp, 25 kg engine, including an electric starter and 24V/1000W generator. The engines are designed for the Primoco UAV One 150 UAV and are also ready for sale and fitment to other aircraft.


The development of the serial form of the Primoco UAV One 150 has been completed in 2020. Several changes have been made to the aircraft, including the installation of a new type of landing gear better able to cope with operation from lower quality runways, a redesign of the electrical system to reduce maintenance requirements and increase safety, modifications to the aircraft's software, but most importantly the integration of new high-end sensors. The Primoco UAV One 150 (in military version One 150M) is fully developed and manufactured in the Czech Republic, except for three components from Spain and Norway.

Od středy 13. května 2020 je součástí expozice Leteckého muzea Kbely darovaný bezpilotní letoun Primoco One 150 s výrobním číslem 03.


Vystavený exponát je údajně vybaven dvoutaktním (jiný zdroj z VHÚ tvrdí, že se jedná o čtyřtaktní) čtyřválcovým motorem blíže neurčeného výrobce. Trup letadla byl vyroben z uhlíkových a skelných kompozitů. Použitý pevný podvozek umožňuje klasický start a přistání.


Dvoučlenná obsluha složená z pilota a operátora je umístěna v doprovodném vozidle a letoun ovládá na dálku ručně, nebo let může probíhat v plně automatizovaném režimu včetně vzletu a přistání. V případě ztráty komunikace letoun se dovede vrátit na základnu nebo do předem stanovené oblasti.
Pro bezpečný provoz v civilním vzdušném prostoru je letoun Primoco One 150 vybaven odpovídačem v módu S.

From 6 to 9 September 2021, the military training area Libavá hosted the testing of the Primoco UAV One 150 for the benefit of the Czech Army, focused on the verification of communication systems to support battlefield communications and optical reconnaissance sensors. The aircraft was operated under the company's civilian license, but was equipped with military communication systems and electro-optical reconnaissance head of the choice of the Army of the Czech Republic. The aim of the tests was to familiarize the specialists of the Army of the Czech Republic with the aircraft itself, as well as to verify the performance and characteristics of the communication and reconnaissance systems.


The One 150 aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 150 kg was equipped with special radio and data communication equipment in the form of a radio station from L3 Harris and ANW2C datalinks from Persistent Systems. During flight operations over the military training area, the aircraft in day and night conditions provided retransmission of communications from individual ground stations that were not in direct line of sight to each other, and also performed reconnaissance and identification of pre-prepared targets.

On 30 September 2021, the Primoco UAV SE factory airport in Písek - Krašovice was the site of a successful flight of the Primoco UAV One 150M, registered under the mark 0498 in the Czech military aviation register. The flight marked the start of flight tests according to the STANAG 4703 standard. The military version of One 150M includes specific modifications required by the conditions of the STANAG 4703 certification standard. The flight was supervised by representatives of the Department of Supervision of Military Aviation Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic and Military Technical Institute of Aviation and Air Defence and lasted a total of 35 minutes and was performed by factory pilot Radek Suk.
