In the morning hours the Ukrainian army and the inhabitants of the town of Buča (Буча, 50°32'55.00 "N 30°13'15.00 "E) resisted the Russian army. The defenders managed to stop the enemy advance on Hostomel' (Гостомель, 50°35'18.00 "N 30°15'33.00 "E) and Irpin' (Ірпінь, 50°31'14.00 "N 30°14'40.00 "E). During the fighting, many buildings were damaged and the city's infrastructure was destroyed. Russian paratroopers' and machine-gunners' equipment was left destroyed in the streets.
Anatoly Fedoruk, the mayor of the town, promised speedy reconstruction and announced that the locals are now chasing the saboteurs in the surrounding forests.

Around midnight from 28.02.20222 to 01.03.2022, an aerial duel between a pair of Russian Su-35S and a pair of Ukrainian MiG-29 aircraft was to take place. PLRK S-300s from the Air Command Centre were also involved in the battle. One Ukrainian MiG-29 was shot down (the pilot was being sought at the time of the report), but the Ukrainian side credits Su-35S with shooting down the two Russian aircraft.

It is a series of narrow attacks; punctures, often deep and painful, but - to stick with the body analogy - not involving the physical loss of a severed arm or leg. In order to achieve the effect of septicemia, that is, effective and lasting occupation, the Russians need large numbers of soldiers. That they don't have it is demonstrated by the logistical convoys massacred by Ukrainians without proper protection. Once again, the fact that I can forcibly enter someone's house does not make me its owner. Because they can beat me up in one room or another. Especially when the lights go out.
