Joseph Archer's prototype armoured vehicle using elements of a civilian tractor. The vehicle moved on large wheels, the rear was larger in diameter and was chain driven. The armoured body could be lapped on a pivot machine gun, or it could be replaced by a projectile-throwing device. The machine carried a portable bridge which allowed it to cross trenches up to 2 metres wide. A vehicle that originated in the early days of efforts to make an armoured vehicle supporting infantry units. The intent was good, but the vehicle was impractical.
