| At the end of April 1938, after the arrival of the rebels to the sea, the 202nd Mixed Brigade was formed in Madrid in a desperate attempt to control the last war reserves of the Republican zone. For this purpose, he began an intensive recruitment of young people from the United Socialist Youth and fighters, especially from the V Army Corps, who were separated from their units by the division in two territories of the republic. On 12 May the unit moved to Segorbe on the Castellón front and immediately moved into the front line. On June 11, when it was between Rambla de la Viuda and Tosal Gros, in defense of the Alcora and Villafamés roads, it was subjected to heavy attacks from which it came out badly, to the extent that on 15.6. she was pulled from the lineup due to reorganization. 21.6. returned to the front, but the national offensive against Valencia came to a definitive halt before the Battle of the Ebro began. Until the end of the war, only her participation in the attack on Alto del Buitre in the month of September 1938 is worth mentioning. On March 9, 1939, she was called by Colonel Casado to help him, she went to Madrid, joined the Casadista troops in Alto de Canillejas to returned to the Levantine front after the consolidation of the situation in the capital. When the Frankish troops arrived in Valencia, the 202nd Mixed Brigade was disbanded. |
