In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Oleksiy Danilov (Олексій Данілов), secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, revealed that there are currently 8 M142 and 1 M270 launchers operating in Ukraine. These numbers will reportedly increase to 12 M142 rocket launchers and 5 M270 machines, which are being upgraded in the UK - probably to the M270B1 type. Ukraine's Ministry of Defence has published an assessment of captured Russian missile launcher systems: 220mm TOS-1A Solncepjok with 24 missiles, each weighing 145 kg and with a range of 6 km, the rocket launcher can destroy an area of 200x200 m with one salvo, the rocket launcher was captured in 4 pieces, 2nd in order: 122mm BM-21 Tornado-G (9K51M) with 40 missiles, each weighing 70 kg and with a range of 40 km, the missiles are satellite-guided and the missile launcher has a higher level of automated reloading, 3rd in order: the 220mm BM-27 Uragan (9K57) with 16 missiles, each weighing 280 kg and with a range of 30-35 km.
