SOV - KMT-7 (přídavné odminovací zařízení)

KMT-7 (Колейный минный трал, koljejnyj minnyj tral)
The KMT-7 deminer uses two methods to initiate mines. The first triggers a mine explosion using a mechanical device that consists of a frame structure that allows two trolleys with heavy cast steel rings to be towed in front of the tank. The mine explodes on raid. The second mechanical device is a split mine excavator located in front of the vehicle belt. The plowed-out mine can explode on contact with the blades, if there is no explosion, it is pushed aside away from the vehicle path.

KMT-7 viability stated by the manufacturer:
- 2x 6 explosions, for mines type TM-57
- 2x 2 explosions, for mines type TM-62

Basic technical data KMT-7

Addition to photos of Slovak T-55 with KMT-7:

Basically a regular T-55, designated by the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe treaty for disposal or sale outside Europe. By having its armament removed it no longer falls under the COC treaty.

The modification was made by some PLO, but it can ingest other demining equipment besides the KMT-7.

Dear colleagues,
I have the impression that you have neglected to describe the odminovací set of the KMT-7 (Колейный минный трал, koljejnyj minnyj tral), which combines the two to three systems odminovacích device.

The first are the trailing odminovací of the blade (cylinder), which bring a mine to blast his weight. The second is the vyorávací odminovač located just before the seat belts of the vehicle - here, pictured in the marching position. According to the Russian website Sapjor this is a vyorávač taken from the system of KTM-8.

The third type of odminovače is not a permanent part of the KMT-7, this is the additional electromagnetic odminovací equipment EMT (Электромагнитный минный трал, eljektromagnitnyj minnyj tral).
