Allied Code Name: „None“

The performances are only calculated.
The Karyu began as an in-house project by Nakajima in early 1945 to apply what was being learned about jet aircraft from the Nakajima Kikka attack aircraft to a fighter design.
Nakajima continued development, anticipating test flights by December 1945.

History:
At the time of the surrender, the Nakajima Hikoki Kabushiki Kaisha factory had a jet fighter bomber under construction, which should be usable for both components of the Air Force. Serial production was planned for March 1946. The basis of this aircraft was Me-262A-1 and knowledge from more or less independent development of a prototype attack aircraft was used Nakajima Kikka. All the engines that were to drive Karya were based on the German BMW 003 engine. These engines were feverishly developed in Japan, I write developed, because only incomplete documentation and no sample pieces reached Japan due to the blockade. Development took place in three factories, the Ne-130 engine was built in the Ishikawajima factory, this engine did not work and further development was not preferred, Hitachi built the type Ne-230, at the time of surrender was probably completed only one prototype, which was relatively successful in tests and finally, Mitsubishi built the Ne-330 engine. It was not completely completed at the time of the surrender, its execution was to be the highest. When using Ne-230 engines, a maximum speed of 851 km/h was calculated for the Ki-201. To launch were to help rocket engines To Ko-15.
Karayu means Fire Dragon.

To give you an idea of what Karyu was supposed to look like, at least drawings and sketches.
