Tunguska

The Tunguska is a hybrid anti-aircraft system designed by the KBP design bureau in Tula and manufactured at the Ulyanovsk plant in Russia. It uses short-range PLK cruise missiles to defend against more distant targets. The system is designed to destroy aircraft, helicopters and some types of CRS.
The Tunguska is said to be in service with the Russian Army and the Indian Army.

Armament
The Tunguska-M1 carries eight 9M311-M1 surface-to-air missiles. The cruise missile (NATO designation SA-19 Grison) weighs 40 kg of which 9 kg is for the warhead. It is 2.5 m long with a diameter of 1.7 m and a wingspan of 2.2 m. The missile is capable of a top speed of 900 m/s with a normal flight speed in target acquisition mode of up to 500 m/s. The range is 15-6 000 m for ground targets and 15-10 000 m for air targets.
The barrel armament consists of two 30 mm calibre guns. These weapons have a maximum rate of fire of 5 000 rounds per minute and a range of 3 000 m against air targets. The range can be up to 4000 m against ground targets.

Fire control
The system has a control and overview radar, optical sights, a computer system that controls - the angle of inclination ( aiming) - a remote measuring system, navigation and communication equipment. The radar has a range of 18 km and the target tracking range is from 16 km.

Chassis
The chassis has a hydropneumatic wheel suspension which allows the chassis ground clearance to be continuously varied according to the type of terrain or vehicle activity. In addition, hydraulic belt tensioning is used.
The armoured turret resists common firearms and grenade fragments. The turret includes stabilization controls and power supply. Air-conditioning, heating and filtration systems against weapons of mass destruction as well as self-extinguishing devices.

The 9M311 rocket has two diameters:
1) The diameter of the first stage (launcher) is 152 mm
2) The diameter of the second stage (flight stage) is 76 mm

Technically, the missile is a single-stage, detachable warhead. The 76 mm diameter part contains no propulsion system, only a warhead with pre-formed elements, explosive, non-contact fuse and control system. This simplifies a lot of things and makes it possible to achieve a 30g lateral acceleration of the warhead, at which it is very difficult for the target to escape from range.
The rocket motor burns out and is jettisoned after about 1500m, so it can hit targets at a distance of at least 2000m, no closer.

The 2A38 gun is water-cooled with combined breech (Gast system) and uses 30x165 ammunition, just like the guns in the BVP-2 and others.
The cannon takes measurements of the actual muzzle velocity of the rounds, and the Fire Control System automatically corrects for the effects of barrel wear, powder charge temperature, and manufacturing variations of the rounds.
Maximum cadence of 2 installed dual cannons - up to 4860 rounds/minute.

Range to aerial targets - 4000m oblique range/ max 2000m target parameter.
Range on ground targets - 2000 m.

Weight of twin cannon without coolant - 183 kg
Dimensions - length 3434 mm
- Height 242 mm
- width 220 mm
Charging - pyropatrons, manually
