Brigadier general Ján Sticker-Repkin – the commander 1. čs. partisan section in the USSR

He was born 20. September 1912 in the village Smizany in the district of Spišská Nová Ves in a family of poor domkáře Michal Stickers. After completing school he studied at Teaching institute in Spišská nová Ves, where in 1931 received a high school diploma. He then taught successively at general schools in Hornej Maríkovej, Bielych Waters and Stupavě, than in the summer of 1934 he joined the military service as a petty officer-aspirant in the infantry 37. and the later 32. regiment in Levoča. In the backup he left in the summer of 1936 with the rank of second lieutenant of infantry. Thereafter until mobilization taught in Stupavě and from February 1939 in the Nemeckej Porube.

In march 1939, after the dissolution of Czecho-Slovakia then was drafted into the army of the Slovak and as the commander of the infantry 20. the regiment took part in the fighting in eastern Slovakia and Carpathian Ruthenia against the Hungarians. In the summer of the same year became commander of the officer's candidate school and after the attack on Poland in September 1939 he commanded in the rank of lieutenant in the reserve field company. In October he was accepted into permanent service in the Slovak army and in June 1941 he was posted in the rank of lieutenant on the eastern front. He became chief of staff of the infantry 101. the regiment, assigned to the performance of the duties of the intelligence officer. His regiment had the task to protect the stretch of railway line Pinsk-Gomel against the attacks of the guerrillas. In July 1942, made a captain of infantry J. Sticker first contact with the guerrilla movement, which then was supplying weapons, medicines and food. When you move the regiment to the Jelska in zhitomir area then with part of his troops deserted to the guerrillas under the command of gen And. N. Saburova. The offered J. Nálepkovi and his troops the option of moving to the czechoslovak military unit in the USSR, but they decided to stay in the partisan section. 18. may 1943 created from the Slovak soldiers and officers 1. čs. the guerrilla section in the USSR under the command of captain J. Stickers-Repkina, as you started to say. The first task of his section, in addition to the implementation of the marauding operations in the area Jelska, happened to the implementation of the agitation in the ranks of the Slovak army. The military court, meanwhile, sentenced the captain of the Sticker to death in absentia.

In July 1943 began the section under the command of captain J. Stickers-Repkina his combat activity of the robbery of the German garrison in the village Daniloviči and the town of David-Gorodoku, which caused the enemy significant losses. After an agreement with the soviet and czechoslovak. the command of the partisan section of captain Stickers moved in November 1943 to the area Korosten - Ovruč, where he had to engage in battles for Kiev, and to support procedure 1. čs. separate brigade. In the attack on the railway stanici in Ovruči 16. November 1943 captain Ján Sticker-Repkin fell. The rest of his section, then entered the czechoslovak. military units in the USSR.

2. in may 1945 he was captain J. Nálepkovi-Repkinovi awarded as a single Slovákovi title Hero of the Soviet union in memoriam. It is named after him the village in Slovakia, and many streets and squares in various Slovak cities. On 07.05.2004, he was promoted to the rank of brigadier general in memoriam.

Za komunistického režimu byl Ján Nálepka oslavován jako příkladný komunistický hrdina. On však nikdy komunistou nebyl. Od studijních let byl stoupencem masarykovských idejí demokracie a stavěl se proti autonomistické politice luďáků. Nadchnul se pro myšlenky slovanské vzájemnosti a v roce 1930 se stal delegátem I. všeslovanského kongresu středoškolského studentstva v Bělehradě. Tyto ideje byly také hlavním motivem pro jeho přechod k ukrajinským partyzánům v letech druhé světové války.

Nálepka oproti obrazu má na chrbte prvorepublikový samopal(?), vyzerá to ako ZK 383.

Dne 13. září 1939 byl vyznamenán osobně generálem Čatlošem medajlí Za hrdinstvo III. stupňa. Vyznamenání obdržel jako poručík a velitel přezvědného oddílu za odhodlanost v boji 2. září u obcí Čertižné a Czeremcha.

A na 110% to ZK 383 je. Krasny samopal....

ZK 383 dostala Rychla divizia mesiac predtym ako kpt. Nalepka dezertoval k partizanom. Dezertoval samozrejme s nim...

Chcel by som len upresniť jeden detail. Titul Hrdina Sovietskeho zväzu, obdržal aj iný Slovák - Gustáv Husák. Vyznamenanie mu podľa mojich info udelili 9.1.1983.

V texte sa píše že Nálepka dostal ako jediný Slovák vyznamenanie in memoriam. G.H. ho podľa uvedeného zdroja dostal ešte počas života.


Informácia by sa skôr hodila k téme uvedeného vyznamenania.

Slovenská armáda mala vo svojej výzbroji oficiálne 190 ks samopalu ZK383- guľometnej pištole vz.42. Neoficiálnou cestou sa na Slovensko dostalo dalších 800 ks z Bulharskej objednávky (podla Čatlošových pamätí). Stalo sa tak po jednaní Čatloša priamo s riaditeľom zbrojovky, títo pani mali nadštandardne dobré vzťahy.
