Walther Oberloskamp, commander of the 3rd Platoon of the 667 Assault Gun Brigade, poses on his personal StuG III. The rings on the barrel indicate a "score" in tank combat. Oberloskamp was awarded the Knight's Cross on 10 May 1944 for the 40th enemy tank destroyed. Six weeks later, he was killed on the Eastern Front.
