Stridsvagn m/40L

Vzhledem k problémům s převody a výzbrojí byly dodávány až do prosince 1942.

The Dominican Republic purchased 24 (some sources say 20) Strv m/40 tanks in 1956 from Swedish Army surpluses. The tanks were refurbished and given the designation L/60L before being inducted into the Dominican Republic's armed forces. In April 1965, civil war broke out in the Dominican Republic between the various rival parties, with the army on both sides becoming involved. Several L/60L tanks were also deployed against the American Expeditionary Force, which had been deployed in the country since 26 April 1965 as part of "Operation Power Pack", with at least three of the tanks being destroyed in fighting with the Expeditionary Force. One of the tanks was destroyed by a recoilless M40 gun by members of the 82nd Airborne Division on 15 June 1965, and the other two were destroyed by a combined team from the 6th Airborne Division on 15 June 1965. MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit) consisting of a M48 Patton tank and M50 Ontos tank fighter on 29.04.1965.

After the end of the Civil War, the armed forces were rebuilt with the help of the US and 12 L/60L tanks from the original number were refurbished and made operational again. These tanks served in the army until 2002 when they were retired from service and at least one is kept in working order as a historical icon of the Dominican Army.
