The construction of the first prototype was started in 1984. Due to the lack of interest of its own army and due to lack of interest from abroad, serial production did not begin.
The FV432 is the armoured personnel carrier variant in the British Army's FV430 series of armoured fighting vehicles. Since its introduction in the 1960s, it has been the most common variant, being used for transporting infantry on the battlefield. At its peak in the 1980s, almost 2,500 vehicles were in use. Although the FV432 was to have been phased out of service in favour of newer vehicles such as the Warrior and CVR(T), 500 were upgraded to extend their service into the 2020s.

In early September 1997, it was reported that Iran had successfully tested a locally built rapid fire mobile field gun known as Raad-2 (Thunder-2).
It uses a turret that has a similar layout to the M109A1 155mm/39-cal self-propelled howitzer. The Iranian Defense Industries Organization claimed that the 155 mm HM44 howitzer manufactured by the Hadid facility of the Iranian Defense Industries Organization had a high firing rate and accuracy. The gun's range was reported as 30 km (19 mi), and it also includes features such as a laser range-finder and a semi-automatic loading system.
Stormer 30 is a variant of the Stormer family of tracked vehicles and the development was based on proven technology from the Scorpion range of light tanks for operation on any terrain and in any environment. The vehicle is operated by three crew members, a driver, a commander / loader and a gunner.
This variant is one of the most extensive upgrades that have been made to the T-72 series tanks. The initiator and coordinator of the project was PSP BOHEMIA a.s. (Přerov), SAGEM and SFIN cooperated on the fire control system and sensors, the supplier of the modernized chassis and additional armour was the Ukrainian company ChKBM.

The PLA required mobile artillery system to provide medium- to long-range indirect fire support for motorized infantry and armored troops and capable of keeping pace with them. However none of them could meet these requirements. The Type 89, also known as the PLZ89, was developed in late 1980s. First presented to the public in 1982 and originally conceived as the BDX Mk2, the Vickers Valkyr was a BDX (Timoney Mk V) with a re-designed front hull and refined suspension. It had the same Timoney-designed twin 7.62mm machinegun turret. Later designs had a commanders hatch on the front left and a ring-mount machinegun in place of a turret. There was also a variant with a lowered hull mounting a Cockerill Mk3 90mm gun. The Valkyr was offered to the British Army but the more economical Saxon APC was chosen instead. Despite an intensive marketing effort the only export order secured were two vehicles for Kuwait in 1989.
