Heavy gun vz. 13 caliber 105 mm

The gun of the Schneider system with a centric bolt breech was manufactured from the summer of 1914 by Schneider et Cie. in Creusot. The gun was produced in a total of over 2,000 units and was acquired by seven European armies in addition to the French Army, which had it in their armament throughout the interwar period.

A total of 13 cannon from war production were delivered to Czechoslovakia during 1919, some of the material being in poor technical condition. The cannons were in the armament of one section of Artillery Regiment 302 throughout the 1920s, where they were later replaced by the crude cannons of the vz. 35 of 10.5 cm calibre.

The gun consisted of a single transport unit, the steel barrel consisted of a jacket, barrel and breech, had a constant twist and was fitted with a liquid brake, air recoil and a static balancer in the cradle. The cradle and the buttplate were made of pressed steel profiles, the buttplate had a steel shield, and the sighting was done with a drum sight, a cannon scope and a vial quadrant.

During transport, the barrel was retracted to the rear and a six-spoke was used to pull.

The firing was conducted by impact grenades vz. 15 of 105 mm calibre and shrapnel vz. 16 105 mm calibre.
