Bratislava Garrison Headquarters

The headquarters of the Garrison Headquarters is the capital of the Slovak Republic Bratislava. The boundaries of the garrison are identical with the boundaries of the city of Bratislava. Some units under the command of the Bratislava Garrison Command are stationed outside Bratislava.
The Garrison Command is an organisational element of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic with a nationwide remit for ensuring interaction with the state administration and local government, ensuring the performance of military duties, ensuring the defence and protection of the Bratislava Garrison, the protection of objects of particular importance, and the logistical, financial and medical security of military units and installations stationed in the garrison.
By Order of the Minister of Defence of the Slovak Republic No. 51/2004 of 28.12.2004, the Bratislava Garrison Command was granted an official emblem.
The coat of arms has the shape of a gothic shield with a silver bordure and a thin black line. On the red surface of the coat of arms are placed two golden (yellow) crossed swords. At its base is a silver (white) three-towered fortification with windows and a gate, with a half gold (yellow) lattice drawn up, and on the red roofs of the towers are two gold (yellow) orbs. In the head of the shield on a red surface in silver (white) majuscule lettering in two lines, the first line bearing the name of the MAJESTY POSADKA, and in the second the place of its seat BRATISLAVA.
