Eskadrona vznikla 1. října 1920. Nacházela se v Přelouči, od října 1921 v Bohdanči, od listopadu 1924 v Moravanech a od června 1927 v Dašicích, podléhala velitelství Jezdeckého pluku 8 [1920-1936] a od února 1921 velitelství Jezdecké korouhve I/8 [1921-1936].
Eskadrona byla 1. ledna 1936 přejmenována na Dragounskou eskadronu 2/8 [1936-1938].
