Százados László Palkó
László Palkó was born 19.4. 1910
served in the 1/1st "Íjász" vadászszázad's as commander of the 3rd swarm operating on Fiatech CR.32 from Ungvar airfield during the border clashes with Slovakia in the spring of 1939. During the fighting, Letov Š.328 of the 12th Squadron was shot down; the pilot, Lance Corporal Gustáv Pažický, and the observer, Lieutenant Ferdinand Švento, were killed.
He was decorated with the Magyar Érdemrend Lovagkeresztje hadiszalagon kardokkal for his deployment against Slovakia.
During World War II he served as a fighter instructor.
After the war he emigrated to Australia, where he also died on 24 July 2008.
