The aircraft was produced in December 1963 at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant as the 21st unit of the 50th batch. After the sortie, it was part of the very first delivery to Czechoslovakia. Soviet pilots flew nearly 8,000 km (usually 20 sorties, 20 flight hours) from the production plant and handed over the first 12 units in mid-April 1964 at Mlada airfield to the 28th Sbolp, where the machines were first used to retrain domestic technicians and then pilots on the type. The very first machine 5021 was assigned to the technician of rtm. Pavliš. Already at the end of 1964 the regiment moved to Čáslav and later some machines were transferred to Náměšt' nad Oslavou. After flying about 1000 hours, the Su-7s underwent a review, during which they usually received a brown-green camouflage. The 5021, however, probably did not receive it due to an earlier revision and thus remained the only one in its original aluminium livery to survive in Slovakia. According to some sources, it was this machine that was involved in a curious mid-air collision with a Mi-1 helicopter in 1970, which only by a difference of centimetres did not end in tragedy, but only in minor damage. Another extraordinary event ended his flying career at Malacky shooting range probably in 1980 or 1981. The young pilot, in an attempt to shoot at the target as accurately as possible, failed to follow the approaching terrain and at the last moment, at the cost of a large overload, he took the aircraft into a climb. The "bent" aircraft was grounded and officially "cancelled" in May 1982 in Malacky. It was later transferred to Aircraft Repair Trenčín and then became the property of the Military Historical Institute - Military Historical Museum in Piešt'any.
Renovation: After almost 30 years of standing at Trenčín Airport, several condition inspections were carried out and in June 2011 a three-day dismantling and transport of oversized cargo to Aero Slovakia a.s. was carried out with the help of Aero Slovakia a.s., LOT Trenčín and students of SOS LT in Trenčín. During the dismantling, the "bending" of the aircraft turned out to be a hard nut to crack. Especially the right half of the wing at first glance can withstand only static exposure. The airframe was in relatively good condition except for missing details, which are gradually being filled in. However, the aluminium surface was heavily soiled. This time it was decided not to repaint but to thoroughly clean and retouch the surface also taking into account the modelling value of the original coat with the markings, which were preserved especially on the lower part of the fuselage. Gradually the colour details, the insignia were restored and the detailing continues to be added. Since October 2011 the aircraft has been moved and included among the exhibits at Aero Slovakia.
