Lietadlo bolo vyrobené 09.04.1988 v n.p. Aero Vodochody. Posledný namontovaný motor ( už na Slovensku ) Ivčenko AI-25TL, v.č. 7082524800086, namontovaný dňa 14.03.2000. Počas ukážky na verejnosti skupiny akrobatickej skupiny Biele Albatrosy (deň otvorených dverí letiska Sliač) začal pilot mjr. Luboš NOVÁK neskoro vyberať zostupnú fázu paralelného prvku pádu po chvoste, následne stroj narazil do rovinatého terénu. Pilot sa nepokúsil o katapultáž a zahynul.
