Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-1
Focke-Wulf Fw 190 a-1 was an improved version of the the Fw 190 A-0 improved based on the experience from tests in Eprobungsstaffel 190. The plane had a reinforced structure of the wings and enhanced weapons a pair of guns MG 151/20 in the outer part of the wing. As well as u the Fw 190 A-0 persisted continuing problems with the cooling of the engine BMW 801 C-1.
The first aircraft were produced between may 1941 and after a short testing in Erprobungsstaffel 190 were gradually transferred to the 6./JG 26, which was gradually re-equipped with. Its pilots with aircraft Fw 190 a-1 took part in the fighting for the British over France and have achieved very good results. In the course of the fighting but showed other congenital defect Fw 190 - because of the short span wings lost on a flight over 5000 meters of its good flight characteristics. This defect has never been satisfactorily resolved (in a way, their elongated wings managed to overcome until The ta 152, but which came too late). Aircraft Fw 190 a-1 were gradually from September 1941 replaced by aeroplanes Fw 190 a-2 while the serial production was terminated in October 1941, and the cover 102 of the aircraft.
