historie
Arises 30.06.1916 at the base of Filton. After completion of training in march 1917 shifting as a fighter unit to France, where he engages in fighting 1. world war. In November of 1917 is transferred to Italy, where it fought until the end of the war. In march 1919, he returns to Great Britain, where it is 25.10.1919 dissolved.
20.07.1936 is restored at the base of the Duxford again as a fighter unit and in this role be involved in fights 2. world war from the british bases, inter alia, cover the retreat of the british army from Dunkirk, participating in the Battle of Britain and is taking the offensive flights over France and occupied Europe. Before the invasion of Europe is becoming part 2. TAF and up to the end of the war mainly attacks ground targets as part of the support of the advancing allied troops from bases in the Uk, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. 30.04.1945 is dissolved.
01.09.1946 is again restored at the base of the Duxford again as a fighter unit and in this role they act on the bases in Great Britain and Germany until the dissolution of the 30.09.1960.
So far the last is restored 15.09.1961 as a transport helicopter unit at the base of Odiham. 26.05.1962 is moving to Singapore, where he works until its dissolution 20.03.1969.
