TS concentrated on the completion of the defensive fortifications at Maly and Veľký Šturc and from Dolná Mičina to Oravce. The spirited retreat from the advancing 178th Division "Tatra" (27-28 October 1944) caused the I. TS ceased to exist as a militarily organized unit.
