Czechoslovak army officer of German nationality. During the mobilization on 23.9.1938 he served as Chief of Staff of the 6th Division "KALVODA", on the basis of the results of the Munich Agreement he was discharged from the army on 8.10.1938 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel of the General Staff (Colonel of the General Staff). On 31.8.1939 he joined the Slovak Army and took part in the war against Poland. In 1940 he was promoted to the rank of Colonel of the General Staff and from 22.6.1941 he took part in the fighting with the USSR, initially as commander of Rapid Group and later Rapid Brigade. In 1942 and 1943, he served as commander of the Reinsurance Division and participated in anti-partisan operations in Ukraine.
From May 1944 commander of the 2nd Divisional Area, after the outbreak of the SNP he allegedly joined the SS (in October 1944 at the rank of Standartenführer in the 16th SS-Panzergrenadier-Division "Reichsführer SS", in 1945 he was to serve as commander of the "Heimatschutz Slovakia" (Domobrana)) ***
