Kdyňský native col. Josef Hubáček (17. October 1909 - 9. April 1988) was one of our most distinguished airmen.
Before the war he was a major aerial acrobat.
Participant in the foreign resistance movement during the second world war.
After the war he was like the other members of the western resistance discriminated against. He was released from the place of pilot of Czechoslovak airlines,
He returned to the Kdyne, where the whole remaining life spent on the junk posts ...,
14. October 2006 a monument was unveiled.
