The base was 10. October 2018 zpustoštěna a direct blow to hurricane Michael. Was destroyed or damaged a number of aircraft (to 14.10. yet, without further specification). AFB is the home for 55 aircraft F-22 Raptor, out of which 33 were timely evacuated, the fate of 22 more is not yet known. Extensive damage suffered also the base itself.
