Order of Bravery Order of courage This interesting order was established by the decision of the President of the Russian Federation No. 442 of 2 March 1994 . The Order of Courage is awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation for the courage, valour and bravery with which they have participated in saving human life, protecting public property, in fires, floods, earthquakes, i.e. wherever they have helped to protect people's lives and property, regardless of the danger and threat to their own lives. This order is worn on the left side of the chest, right after the Order of Merit for the Fatherland IV degree . Note : The order is called in the original the Order for MALE SERVICE which can be translated as : Bravery, courage, fortitude, valour. Since the order is intended for all citizens of the Russian Federation, i.e. it is not a special military order, we use in translation " Order For Bravery ".
