Patterson's airport originated from a part of the Airport Wright brothers.

In 1945, the sa military objects in the vicinity of Dayton (Airport Wright brothers, Armádni airport Dayton, patterson's airport) zlúčili to Technical base Armádnich air force. To 13.01.1948 sa Technical base(vtedy have flax air force) premenovala on dnešnú Wright-Pattersonovu base of the air forces with a team of former Armádniho airport Dayton happened opäť civilné airport.
