Tatra 111
The development of the vehicle, which became known as the Tatra 111 after the end of World War II, began in the early 1940s at the car factory Ringhoffer-Tatra-Werke AG, Neselsdorf, Ost Sudetenland for the needs of the armed forces of the German Empire. The chassis from the Tatra 81 truck was used as a basis (this car was also used by the Wehrmacht in the number of 220 units), except for the front axle, which the newly emerging vehicle had powered. The first Tatra 111 vehicles left the production plant at the beginning of 1943, and by the end of the war, about 900 of them had been produced for the needs of the Wehrmacht.
After the end of the war, mass production of this model (and derived types) continued for the needs of Czechoslovak industry in several versions.
Basic versions:
Tatra 6500/111 - original version with a load capacity of 6500 kg developed during the German occupation of Bohemia and Moravia for the needs of the Wehrmacht
Tatra 8000/111 - small series version with a payload of 8000 kg
Tatra 10000/111 - version with a load capacity of 10000 kg produced after the war. Versions 6500/111 and 8000/111 could also be retrofitted to this version. Later, the standard Tatra 111 was used for this version as standard. Production ended in 1952. Manufactured as a flatbed and tipper (with a load capacity of 8000 kg, without special markings)
Tatra 9000/111 - part of Tatra 111 vehicles with a load capacity of 10000 kg, which was in the years 1948-1949 (09/1948-02/1949) administratively reduced payload to 9000 kg.
Tatra 112 - planned designation for version Tatra 10000/111
Tatra 113 - project of a road flatbed truck with 6x4 drive derived from T-111
Tatra 111 R - reconstructed flatbed, production took place in 1953-1962?
Tatra 111 NR - reconstructed flatbed on chassis Tatra 111 N equipped with a winch
