Ronov (u České Lípy)

Castle ron's (currently ruins) is situated on a basalt hill southwest from the village Stvolínky and southeast of the village of Kravare. The castle was probably founded in the second half of the 14th. century. Its construction is attributed to the gentlemen of the Klinštejna, which was one of the branches of the powerful family of Ronovci. Probably the year 1437 gained the castle of William of Illburka, which he rebuilt and expanded. The beginning of the 16. Century the castle was abandoned and has since declined. At the end of the century the castle was already mentioned as desolate.
The castle is currently accessible from several directions.
The starting point of the path may be, for example, the municipality Stvolínky. After a marked tourist path (red) is a possible dirt road without problems occur below the basalt peak. From the middle of the village Stvolínky up to the signpost below the hill is about 1.8 km. The rest of the way is considerably more challenging because of the comfortable way after a while changing in trail, which hereinafter is rising and in the last section leads along the steep slopes of the hill (about 1 km) and in wooded terrain. The effort all but then on the top more than make up for the romance, the breathing ruin of a medieval castle and a good view of the whole region.
To the castle it is also possible to go out from the villages of Kravare (about 3 km) and Blíževedly (about 4.3 km). In both cases there is a marked hiking paths.
