Svrčov

Located on the cadastre of the city Boundaries near the Hranice abyss, above the river Becva river, opposite the spa of Teplice nad Bečvou, district of Přerov, Olomouc.
For the foundation of the castle, today barely visible ruins, was selected edge of the rocky cliff. This escarpment terminates the massif of Bree, where is located the Hranicka abyss. Towards the top of bree is just a shallow saddle, so the castle was enclosed by a widely rozepjatým the arch of the wall and the ditch, which to avoid the relatively easy access of this part. A small forecastle was located on the south-east, taking the way he led the approach to the castle. Currently this is the forecastle a little noticeable. There came into the broad wall that probably served as a way. In the west, then this approach at a sharp angle cranked and further continued parkánem to the gate. The castle was of an irregular oval ground plan, which was bounded by zalamující with a wall and on three sides was then surrounded by parkánem. That should have a castle tower, not known and missing her any visible field remains. Found were the remains of buildings to the south and the watchtower on a cliff above the valley. Most likely this is the type of the castle with the casing wall. The only known and therefore the first written mention we have of the year 1548, however, then castle remembered as desolate. According to the name of the castle, it can be concluded that the builder was one of the peasants ' origin of the silesian Násilé and from Zdounek. Their rod had a name Svrč as traditional. Without a robust archaeological research, about the castle too. Might arise in the 14. century and its demise can, in theory, to associate with the period around the year 1427, when the hussites conquered the Border. Schematically, the castle caught on woodcuts from Jan Willenbergera, which displays the Border. In 18. century served as a source of building material for the building of a parish church in the Borders.
At present, the castle is freely accessible, but too much on it is not clear, especially in the growing season. When the really good can be discerned only trench, val, and own the castle core. The terrain is luxuriantly been taken over by a, but can be for parts of the castle normally walk. However, it is necessary to be careful, because some slopes are quite steep. In the castle grounds are also found zahloubeniny, you could be the remains of some buildings or their parts (i.e. rooms), but equally well may be one of the old swamps and so on of the trees.
