Castle Rožnov

Castle Roznov, also called Hradisko (but it is reported and just like a Castle, the Castle, Museum or Zámčisko) is located on the eponymous hill southwest from the city center. To this day, is from the castle – rather, the castle ruins, many have not been preserved. It began its targeted destruction subsequently accompanied the dismantling of castle buildings on the building material. On the surface of the nejzachovaleji appears to be the remains of the gate, then these are just the remains of mounds, individual walls, or signs bastionů. Unfortunately, the castle suffered under the raids of modern-day treasure hunting, sometimes your in addition to him chose and vandals. It was not, however, just the negatives, that this castle met. Become the interest of archaeologists, among other things, this was now no longer living Jiří Kohoutek.
The exact date of the castle we don't know, however it is known that the year 1310 already stood. As its founder says bishop Bruno, however, was given in the period 1310 – 1348 in the fief of the lords of Beauty. However, in the years 1348 – 1368 after Roznov (not only castle) wrote a Jan from Kravaře, the lord of the Jičín and to Rožnov. Other owners are then more turns, they were, for example, and Vok from Sovince, that here of the year 1442 he published the charter. For subjects from the area was one of the conditions also serve in the castle as a garrison. In 17. century (1676) then we have evidence that the plot was being taken to the place of 2 raps per year. The last owner of the castle, who regularly resided with him in some way care was Jaroslav of Šellenberka, which together with the estate in 1534 he sold to John from Perstejn. He, however, about the castle interested too showed and so pustl. Even had a permanent crew. Also because it as its headquarters "took over" earthy pests, who get started on their marauding expeditions into the surrounding area. Following the establishment of law, order and security was based on the decision of king Ferdinand I. the year 1539 pobořen for the most part. Were pobořeny especially its walls. It's all in the cargo 130 gold. It seems that the demolitions were directed rather to the most significant fortification units and not residential and economic buildings, or at least not significantly.
The castle adjoined also the farmyard, which it most economically to provide, for the first time is mentioned in the 16. century. It was about the close of the upland plane. It was in the renaissance to the castle přihrazena palisádami. In 17. century was this space again fortified and more modern baroque ramparts "cavalierem" and 3 bastions. The reason for these opevňovacích work was ongoing thirty years ' war, as was the case with many other castles. After the end of the war, however, has already completely lost its military role and probably since definitely pustl. The first bastion is lifted directly above the court, and until today we didn't, because he was completely zplanýrován.
The definitive "knock out" for the castle, however, apparently not so much been the ravages of time, as the decision of the museum of the municipal office from the year 1862 when he gave the residents of the "blaženú and příjemnú knowledge, that the monument of the old mansion dismantled to be may." However, it seems that some disassembly had occurred before.
