Dalkingen

This is a roman military station, which was part of the Rétského limit, located in east Württemberg, Germany. For the first time there were carried out researches already in 19. century, in the years 1973 – 1974 there, they discovered construction in limitové the wall that connected the Lorch to the Danube river. It was found to be 5 construction stages. The initial was a simple fenced tower., that how it is assessed, was built sometime before the year 150 a. d., Further development has led to a brick building with an architecturally highlighted façade, which was built at the beginning of the 3. century ad, Its demise is put probably for the year 233, when there invaded Alamanové. In that time, it was already on the gate, which guarded an important transition into the Free Germania (Germania libera), it's evidenced by the small finds such as coins, buckles, tools, or parts of horse harness. There was also found on the 50 fragments of the bronze statue of the emperor in larger than life size. Such findings are typical for kastely, but when the roman border in the relatively small building is such a find unusual.
